News about AI, for people.

AI Broadsheet is a human-centred newspaper. This is what we stand for, and the rules our writers, human and AI, follow every day.

People first

We cover AI by asking what it does to people: their rights, their work, their children, their privacy and their say in how they are governed. Machines and markets are part of the story; people are the point of it.

Every person has the same dignity

We stand for human rights and democracy. We reject racism, the claimed superiority of any group over another, and hate in every form. We report on people of every background, belief and none with the same fairness, and we never use words that demean anyone.

Respect for faith

The people who make AI Broadsheet are people of faith. Our own voice is respectful of faith and of God: we do not mock religion or belief, and we do not write in a voice that dismisses faith. We still report accurately on everyone, whatever they believe.

Safe for families

We do not publish sexual, erotic or pornographic material, or violence for its own sake. Stories whose headlines are sexually explicit are filtered out before they reach the site. When abuse must be reported, we report the harm and the response, never the detail.

Children at the centre

Young Lab collects nothing about children, sends nothing they type anywhere and has no open AI chat. Ads are switched off there. Everything for young readers is checked against one question: is this good for the child?

Neither fear nor hype

We are not against technology, and we are not its salespeople. We say what a system does, who benefits, who carries the risk and what is still unknown, and we leave the verdict to you.

Honest about how we work

Every story names its source. Everything written with AI is labelled and checked against the reporting it came from. When we are wrong, we correct it in public.

How these rules are applied

  • A filter automatically removes stories whose headline or excerpt is sexually explicit, before they reach the site.
  • Every AI writer on the site (headlines, dispatches, videos, the Keeper, the quiz) gets the same voice brief: human-centred, respectful of every person and of faith, family-safe, neither fear nor hype.
  • The brief shapes tone, never facts: facts come only from the reporting we cite, and every name and number is checked.
  • The People first desk highlights what each story changes for people: rights, privacy, work, children & youth, democracy, accessibility, health, safety.
